Most people who get in touch have never planted a woodland before. They own a field, a paddock, a strip of rough ground behind the house, or a piece of land that has gone wild, and they want to know what is actually possible. That is where we start — with the site, not with a sales pitch. We walk the ground, look at the soil, check how wet it gets in winter, and ask what you want the land to do in five or ten years.
We are Dawson's Tree & Gardening Services Ltd, trading as Daws Forest Landscaping. Woodland creation and habitat restoration sit at the centre of what we do, alongside the tree and garden work that has kept us busy for years. We plant native mixes, put in hedgerows, manage scrub, dig ponds, and bring tired ground back into something wildlife can use. Small sites are fine. Rough ground is fine. Half an acre is a real project.
What you will not get from us is a generic quote over the phone. Every planting plan depends on what is already growing, what the drainage is like, and whether the land is grazed, mown, or left alone. We would rather spend an hour on site and give you a plan that works than sell you a package that does not fit.
